Our Lady of Wisdom and Warehouse 535 Wedding: Gillian + Joseph

Gillian and Joseph Kokenge were married last weekend at Our Lady of Wisdom Catholic Church and celebrated their reception at Warehouse 535 in Lafayette. It’s difficult to describe the beauty and joy that surrounded their special day. This was a day that so many had been anticipating and praying for. Watching God’s plan unfold from a front row seat is beyond an honor for us.

Gillian met Joseph during their college years at UL. She’s originally from Washington, so her entire family traveled down for their wedding!! I photographed Joseph’s sister’s wedding a few years ago and reconnecting with such a SWEET family was so much fun!!!

Gillian has stunning and timeless taste with an incredible eye for detail. Some of my favorite elements of this wedding were all of the meaningful details Gillian and Joseph incorporated! Their weddings bands were a combination of gold melted down from their grandparents…how special!!!

The celebration of the mass was the highlight of their day and I love photographing stunning sacraments like this one. The priest outdid himself with a beautiful homily and the entire church was filled with so much devotion, it definitely spoke to the kind of couple Gillian and Joseph are. I sure wish we could shoot this wedding more than once!
