Eunice Engagement Session: Meredith & Layne

There is so much that I could say about this Eunice Engagement Session with Meredith & Layne, but I’m not sure if I have room for it all! We had a BLAST during their engagement session! I have always wanted to incorporate hay bales into one of my engagement sessions, but have never had a couple that was up for it. Meredith’s dad bales hay and so does Layne so they definitely had a great reason for wanting to include bales into their photographs. All of the hay bales had already been put away in the barn by the time their session came around, so when I arrived Layne had to get a tractor and take them all out again! Lol! He was so good natured about it and patiently positioned them exactly where Meredith and I wanted! We photographed the whole engagement session behind Layne’s house and I was so happy that’s what they chose. I always think pictures mean more when they are photographed in a place that’s special to you. Not to mention there were dozens of cool spots for pictures :) Meredith & Layne were both super cooperative and up for whatever! Even climbing on TOP of the hay bales (not easy to do!). Of course those ended up being my favorites! Even though I made a little mistake with the golf cart and almost knocked them off the hay bale! Oops! (clumsy moment!! lol) Luckily they have good balance! I hope you enjoy my favorites and I cannot wait for their June wedding!!

This may be one of my favorite engagement portraits ever…the light, the scenery, the beautiful couple…everything is perfect!

Layne isn’t so bad either ;)

I changed my mind….this is my favorite!! lol! I love that these dryers were on Layne’s family property and that this hay bale is one that Layne baled himself. So special!

Layne also raises cows (I know there are better names than just cows, I’m sorry Layne, I don’t remember what they are!!) so we had to grab a few shots with them!
