I am so excited to finally be posting this Lafayette Wedding! Photographing weddings of friends is the sweetest part of my job. I have been knowing James & Janie for a few years now and were friends with both of them before they even met! I anxiously waited with the rest of their friends and family for them to announce their engagement and I was ecstatic when that day came! I was even more excited when they asked me to photograph their wedding because I knew going through the wedding process with them would be amazing. It has been such a beautiful journey for them and I feel so privileged to have been a part of such a special day. James & Janie knew right away that they wanted to go ahead and have a first look! The day of their wedding was perfect and we headed to the UL Alumni Center to meet James. I have never seen a groom so overjoyed to see his bride! They both cried and I may have shed a few tears myself! His reaction was just as amazing when Janie entered the church for their wedding. I can’t wait for you to see those happy smiles! I am so thrilled that James & Janie found each other and I know they will live a life of joy. I hope you enjoy a few of my favorites! This may be my longest post yet :)
Just a little excited :)

Love the joy on his face!!
I was so happy we had some portrait time!!
Their wedding party joined us for portraits and we eliminated pictures after church!!
They nailed it!!
We even managed to fit in family photos before the wedding!! This scenery will look so beautiful in a frame :)
FAVORITE!!
Janie is so fun!! Started dancing to the sound of music on the path!
Such gorgeous light!!
Another favorite!! Janie, you’re so beautiful!
They wanted a little time praying in chapel before walking down the aisle <3
Fr. Matthew was so supportive of James in those moments before Janie walked down the aisle. This is the sweetest!!
There wasn’t a dry eye in the church, including mine!
JOY!!
Their musicians were incredible and set the tone for such a gorgeous mass!
<3
One of my favorites. I’m so glad I was able to capture this moment!
One of my favorite people ever!! John Paul used to be my youth minister!! He has the best smile ever :)
MARRIED!!!
James & Janie were so excited to surprise their guests with a choreographed dance after their first dance!! Everyone LOVED it!!
What they didn’t realize is that their wedding party and family choreographed a dance for them!!! They were SO SO SURPRISED!!! It was so fun to watch!!!
They were just a little excited!!
I think it’s safe to say that everyone had a BLAST at their reception! It was a giant party!!
I love when brides & grooms enjoy their wedding. James & Janie definitely enjoyed every moment of it!
Even Father enjoyed the party!!
My beautiful 2nd shooter :)
James & Janie, thank you so much for allowing me to capture this amazing day. I pray that you have decades of happiness and joy together. Thank you for being a witness to God’s love for us. Congratulations!!!
