Petroleum Club Wedding, Lafayette LA: Sarah + Cody

This Petroleum Club Wedding in Lafayette was definitely a first time experience for me. I have never before been a bridesmaid, much less a bridesmaid and a PHOTOGRAPHER!!! It was a crazy and awesome experience and I’m so excited to be writing this post today!! My first cousin is finally married and we are excitedly planning the 2nd wedding of the year for my other cousin! Another piece of exciting news is that I got ENGAGED the night before this wedding!! Blessings and fun all around :) Sarah made a stunning bride and being able to spend so much of this wedding process with her was priceless to me. I love her like a sister and I’m so thankful to see her happy and married! She and Cody had a blast at their wedding and I believe they enjoyed every moment. It’s always a ton of fun to be at a wedding with all of your family and I had a great time photographing so many of them. It was a huge blessing, however, to be able to put the camera down after the cake cutting and formal dances were complete. My amazing second shooter Jayme was a lifesaver! I had no idea how stressful it would be remembering all of my bridesmaid and photographer responsibilities at the same time! Jayme took a huge weight off of my shoulders knowing she was there to capture all the fun at the reception so I could participate in the festivities. Here are tons of my favorite images!!!
