Kinder Engagement Sessions are definitely new to me! I don’t drive out that way very often and I really enjoyed getting to photograph Emily & Alex’s engagement session in a new location! Alex’s grandmother has a beautiful piece of property right outside the town of Kinder. This property has been in their family for decades and as a result there is even an old house from his grandmother’s PARENTS still standing! I adore old things, so I really enjoyed photographing them around this original house and the beautiful location in general! Alex & Emily were definitely up for anything as I asked them to climb on top of hay bales and climb down (almost!) into the bayou! I’m so glad they did, because I LOVE the way their portraits came out! They were high school sweethearts that are finally getting married in September!! Emily is also graduating from McNeese University this May! Such a blessed & busy year for them! I loved working with them and cannot wait to photograph the rest of their wedding process! I hope you enjoy my favorites <3
I think bales of hay are one of my favorite things in the world! lol :)
Emily’s ring is AMAZING and Alex picked it out by himself with only the help of a groomsmen!!! He did an awesome job :)
LOVE!!
I was so excited to have this field full of matted down hay! The colors went amazing with Emily’s hair!!!
Alex really loves his truck, so of course we had to incorporate it into their session! I hear he’s known for the saying “Mais Yea” so he had it put on the back of his truck!! Now everyone knows his truck around town!! I’m so happy we were able to capture these :)
This is definitely a favorite for me!!! So sweet <3
I love a good sunset to end the day! Gorgeous!

wow! so adorable. can feel their joy!
Hey, that post leaves me feeling foiohsl. Kudos to you!
– hey tommy, i think that if you’re struggling with figuring out what’s right – do what you know for sure is right and DON’T celebrate halloween. explaining why to noah and emilee will be another thing, though. . . being a parent really forces us to think about everything we do and then forces us to explain those beliefs to our kids – NOT EASY! i just try and remember – if it’s not glorifying to God, i don’t need to do it, and maybe should not be doing it.
This looks fantastic!!! Rhubarb is one of my favorite things in the world and mixing it with cherries can only make it better I’m sure. Your pictures look great and the crisp looks great too:)
