Lafayette Engagement Session: Shayna + Allan

Avery Island is such a gorgeous location and I’m so excited that Shayna and Allan decided to have their Lafayette engagement session there! I’m counting down the days until Christmas and until I can catch up on all my editing! This time of year is definitely one of the busiest as Louisiana has so few cool days. Everyone either wants to take advantage of the cool weather in November-December or in March-April! This week is the first time we actually experienced cold weather as temperatures dropped below 40 degrees! I’m typing this wrapped up in a very warm sweater, lol, we aren’t used to this cold weather!! We had an absolutely perfect day for Shayna and Allan’s engagement session and definitely took advantage of one of those beautiful cool days. These two have been together for 8 years!! Isn’t that amazing?!?! It’s obvious that they are best friends and couldn’t be more comfortable together. I couldn’t believe how relaxed these two were in front of the camera! We had such a great time exploring Avery Island together–there are little hundreds of potential portrait spots!! We were able to take advantage of most of them and I had a very hard time choosing my favorites. When you have over 150 final engagement images you know it was a good day! :) I hope you enjoy a few of my favorites!
