Lafayette, Louisiana Engagement Session: Kansas + Ryan

Another happy engagement session is on the blog today! I just love Kansas and Ryan and cannot wait to photograph their wedding!!! They both recently moved to Virginia where Ryan is in law school and we managed to shoot this session on their very last day in Louisiana. Thank goodness the weather behaved perfectly!!! This summer was so incredibly wet and nasty, but you wouldn’t know it looking at this beautiful day. These two were up for anything and I’m always excited when we get to photograph sessions on the water! The sunset was incredible and I love shooting in new locations. I had never heard of this place, but absolutely loved it! The location is St. Joseph’s Chapel in the woods in St. Martin Parish. The chapel was literally hidden in the woods, lol, and you have no way of knowing it’s there until you stumble upon it. Amazing! There were so many spots we could’ve stayed here all day. Love these images and cannot wait to see these smiling faces again in August!!! :)
