Lake Martin Engagement Session: Emily + Hunter

Emily + Hunter’s Lake Martin Engagement Session may just be one of my favorite sessions of the year!! The only word I can think of to describe this session is perfect. The weather was perfect, their outfits were amazing, the light was absolutely incredible and most importantly their joy shined through so beautifully! Emily is a bride that I met during the Bridal Expo at the Cajun Dome in Lafayette and immediately I loved her sweet smile and genuine personality. This was my first time meeting Hunter and it was so fun for me to watch the two of them interact together. They definitely made my job very easy!!! Their proposal story is so sweet and sentimental that I have to share! Hunter has a large family and all of his aunts and uncles (plus his parents) all got married in the month of August! Isn’t that cool?!?! Every year they celebrate with a big anniversary party in that month. This past year they had a big slideshow featuring everyone’s wedding pictures and at the end of the slideshow Hunter arranged for some of he and Emily’s pictures to begin playing! You can imagine her surprise! He asked her to marry him with not only his whole family present, but also hers that were hiding in a separate room!! So sweet!! Family is definitely a huge part of their lives and it’s so special they had that moment together. I cannot wait for their wedding!!! Narrowing down images for their blog post was pretty much impossible but here are the favorites I couldn’t resist sharing! :)
