UL Alumni Center Lafayette, LA: Barbie + James

I am so incredibly excited about all this fall weather we have been having!!! Louisiana doesn’t give us many beautiful, cool days and I’m loving all these beautiful sessions! Wedding season is in full swing around here and I will be photographing a wedding every weekend until the end of the year! This means so many exciting weddings and beautiful couples to look forward to and also a ton of editing!!

Barbie and James were so much fun to photograph and I am looking forward to their April wedding already! Initially Barbie wasn’t interested in doing engagements, but after we discussed the benefits of having an engagement session before the wedding she and James decided to go ahead with one. I encourage all of my couples (and everyone I know) to have an engagement session with their wedding day photographer if great wedding day pictures are important to them. It takes so much longer to start posing a couple for the first time on their wedding day without doing a session with them previously. When you have an engagement session beforehand it paves the way to easy and FAST wedding day portraits! I was so glad Barbie and James opted for the engagement pictures even though it wasn’t something they were expecting and they absolutely rocked it! We laughed the WHOLE session and of course the laughing pictures are my favorites. These two have the sweetest most genuine personalities and I loved watching them together.
