I want to start this blog post off by saying it has been way too long since I’ve last blogged!! :( Blogging every day doesn’t come naturally to me, but it is my New Year’s resolution to be a consistent blogger :) I wanted to start the New Year off with this beautiful senior!
I love each and every senior I have the privilege to photograph… and I do mean that :) But there is something about taking pictures of the people you love that make it so special!
Meet Marianne! She is my beautiful, amazing, talented, sweet, funny, organized and fantastic sister! If I have taken any photographs for you in the past you’ve probably met her! She usually comes to sessions with me to help carry my bags, make the kids laugh (she is a genius at this!!) and just keep me organized in general. Usually at the end of a session I wonder how I could do it without her :)
But today was her day! Although she may have carried a bag for me still……lol! The field of sunflowers just down the road from my house were in full bloom so Marianne and I took off one afternoon to do the first part of her Senior Session. She and I had a blast :) as you can see from her pictures, haha. I kept looking at my camera in surprise because I just couldn’t believe how GORGEOUS she was! So enjoy a few (or a lot!!) of my favorites :)
Her senior ring was being worked on :) so we took a few pictures of her purity ring instead
LOVE LOVE these!
YES, that is her real laugh!
the light was gorgeous :)
this is probably my favorite ever.
That flower in her hair? Totally unplanned! But I ended up loving it :)

Love them!!! Marianne looks amazing! Great work, Clare!
Hello! I was just wondering where were these photos taken, and what time of the year? trying to find a sunflower field (: thank you!!
Hi Konnor! This field is in Mowata Louisiana and usually blooms between July – October! If you’re going to Eunice, Louisiana from Crowley, Louisiana and driving on Hwy. 13 you will see it on your left right before a crawfish restaurant called Mo’ Crawfish! Hope this helps :)
Hi Clare! My daughter will be taking her senior pictures in this sunflower field but I was wondering, is it public or private? Is there someone I have to get in touch with or can we just show up? Thanks!
I’m curious if the sunflower field is still there? Is it public? Do you know who owns it? By the way, Your pictures are very pretty.
Thanks!
