Clare + Steven: Our Wedding

Today is our 3rd wedding anniversary! To celebrate I decided to blog a collection of our favorite wedding portraits. I can’t believe I’ve never shared these before…but the past 3 years have been crazy! 

I’m also sharing our wedding film for the first time EVER!! There’s nothing like watching a video of your wedding to bring you right back to that perfect day. 

Here’s our wedding story: 

May 25, 2018 dawned sunny + warm. I remember waking up in my childhood room at my parent’s home and thinking to myself, “This is the last time I’ll ever wake up in this room!” And I felt totally excited about it! 

My mom and I drove off for my studio nearby where all of my girls were getting their hair and makeup done! Steven and his guys all got ready at his parent‘s home down the road. 

I remember feeling butterflies and having anxious energy while we started taking photos. I really wanted things to run on time! As soon as Steven and I saw each other for the first look my anxiousness melted away. I had been looking forward to that moment for YEARS and it was everything I’d dreamed about! We were so excited + happy we couldn’t keep the smiles off of our faces! 

Portraits passed in a blur…in no time we were at the church waiting for the ceremony! Our priest has a complication on the way so things started 40 minutes LATE! But it really didn’t bother me…I was glad for a few quiet minutes to gather myself. 

Our wedding mass was truly my favorite part of the day. We relaxed and celebrated our wedding sacrament with 400+ of our friends and family. Best moment ever! 

The photos of us walking out of church never fail to make me laugh. Our priest didn’t tell us when to kiss…so we just stood there awkwardly facing every single person we know while we waited in silence….😂 Finally, we took the hint, kissed and walked out of the church! Steven had so much adrenaline flowing the photos of his face always make us laugh! 

Since we had taken all of our photographs beforehand we were ready to head straight to the reception after the wedding…and we couldn’t wait to get the party started!! Steven LOVES to dance and having so many of our friends surrounding us just made our night. We danced all night long until it was time for the confetti!! 

Thankful for these more and more with each passing year! 🎉
