How do I describe this beautiful Crowley wedding? So many different emotions and sweet people made this day a success! I was so happy everything came together so well for Gretchen & Eric! I think their wedding day ended up being exactly what they wanted :) They wanted it to be simple and quiet, only celebrated with their closest family and friends. Gretchen & Eric wanted to include Elle-Marie, Gretchen’s sweet daughter, in as many ways possible! Elle-Marie told me that she was getting married and even had an engagement ring to match her mommy! This was a day she had been long waiting for and she was very proud to walk down the aisle, lol!! Those pictures are definitely my favorites <3 Gretchen & Eric wanted a fun reception to celebrate with the people they love most. They wanted a simple ceremony and a relaxing day. I think all these things came together on this beautiful day in September! I LOVE the Grand Opera House in Crowley, LA. as a wedding venue. It’s such a classic building filled with history! The 3rd floor is definitely a hidden gem and my favorite room in the building! It’s an open room with beautiful windows, brick and carefully preserved walls. We photographed the majority of Gretchen’s getting ready shots up there and I just adore how they came out :) I hope you enjoy watching this sweet couple come together as a family! These are just a few of my favorites <3
Can you tell why it’s my favorite room? :)
I LOVE floor length veils for this reason!!
Gretchen’s flowers were exquisite <3
I’m always a fan of comfy shoes!! :)
Eric wrote Gretchen a letter to read and by her reaction it was a great one!
Definitely some of my favorite getting ready shots, ever!
Elle-Marie was ready to twirl! :)
I love that Gretchen decided to only have one bridesmaid, her sister! This made their time together so special. Her sweet niece was a junior bridesmaid and her beautiful daughter was the flower girl! This girl’s pictures with all the Trahan ladies is a favorite for me!
Eric’s turn :)
These two are simply priceless! I cannot wait to see them as teenagers!! lol :)
My favorite <3
A few tears there <3
I believe we literally had 5 min of daylight left after the ceremony so we rushed to take advantage of the light!!! I’m so glad we did :)
Wedding party!!
Elle-Marie knew every word of the song they danced to and it was so sweet to watch her sing it while they danced!
Eric’s family has an old tradition of putting a ball and chain on the groom and giving the wife the key! Eric was definitely a great sport about it :)
I think Elle-Marie was the most excited about it!! :)
This family LOVES to dance the YMCA. This song came on and everyone flooded the dance floor! So much fun :)
