This Crowley wedding literally may be my FAVORITE wedding of the whole year! It just happens to be the very last wedding I photographed in 2015!!! I have this wedding categorized under Crowley, because both Peyton & Michael are from the Crowley area, but their wedding was held at the Victorian Plantation in Broussard. I know I’ve mentioned this before, but this place is awesome!!! On their wedding day everything fell perfectly into place. Even though it was the week before Christmas the weather was absolutely GORGEOUS! (That’s Louisiana for you, lol!) It was a beautiful 60 degrees in the sun, making portraits super pleasant. Peyton & Michael didn’t want to waste one moment of their reception, plus they really wanted gorgeous portraits so they decided to do a 1st look (my favorite thing in the wedding world!!). This enabled us to take all of their wedding party portraits before the actual ceremony even started! After their ceremony they were able to immediately grab a bite to eat and head to their reception. I am SO glad they chose to do this, #1 because I’m in LOVE with their wedding portraits and #2 because they were able to relax and have a blast at their reception! I literally don’t think I’ve ever seen a group of friends have so much fun! Even their parents and grandparents never left the dance floor!!! It was a joy for me to be there witnessing their beautiful day and capturing these memories.
What a way to end a great year!! :)
I LOVE Peyton’s engagement ring! So beautiful <3
I cannot say enough about these GORGEOUS flowers!!! Root Floral outdid themselves again :)
It was so special that Peyton’s Mom, Grandma and Mother-in-law were all able to be there to help her get ready <3
The tears are already starting!!!! :)
This little room in the Victorian is so perfect for portraits. I never get tired taking pictures in here!
This may be one of my favorite wedding moments ever. Peyton started crying right before her first look, so all her bridesmaids gathered around her to help stop the tears and tell her funny stories! Priceless <3
LOVE THIS!!! They still haven’t seen each other, but their expressions are adorable :)
First looks always get to me :)
The bridesmaids found a good view, lol!!
We were able to take all of these shots in about 15 min! It’s amazing what a great location + good light will do :)
LOVE!!!
The wedding party outdid themselves with this shot!! Great job, guys!!!
All the gorgeous ladies and their FLOWERS!!
Obsessed again with these flowers :)
The guys definitely cracked me up during this shot! They were such a fun group!
Their first kiss was accompanied by rose petals thanks to the bridal party :)
This was probably my favorite moment of the day. Right after the ceremony Peyton & Michael entered the Victorian and just held each other and cried. I may have gotten a little teary eyed myself :)
I’m so obsessed with these after-dark portraits!
Hands down the most hilarious groom’s cake that I’ve ever seen!!!
Peyton & Michael made coasters for all of their guests. They had to cut the wood by hand, soak them, stain them, dry them out and package them! It was a ton of work, but definitely paid off! Everyone loved them!!!
There was a slight accident with one of the champagne glasses….everyone ended up okay though! lol!!
I love this picture! So much joy!!!
One of my favorites from the day. Peyton’s grandpa had such a great time at the reception!
Thank you, Peyton & Michael for allowing me to share in your special day. I loved every minute of it and I enjoyed getting to know your awesome families! I know you will have a long and happy marriage :) Congratulations, again!!!
XOXO,
Clare
