Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, New Orleans, Louisiana: Kayla + Dillon

Kayla and Dillon celebrated their sacrament of marriage at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Orleans. This church is full of rich history and provides a stunning environment for a wedding! My first time shooting here definitely did not disappoint.

You wouldn’t believe what the streets of New Orleans looked like the morning of this wedding. It was literally raining in sheets while we were driving around trying to find covered spots for a wedding party of almost 30….literally IMPOSSIBLE in the French quarter! I wasn’t sure what we were going to do for portraits on such busy streets when we started our day. If you’ve been to this area you know what a high volume tourist spot it is! Miraculously about an hour after we arrived to begin shooting the sun came out, dried off everything and the day ended up completely gorgeous! Kayla + Dillon had some angels watching over them for sure!!

We had sunshine, gorgeous New Orleans architecture and a portrait location large enough for almost 30 in the wedding party…thanks to the trolleys tracks!! This wedding will definitely always be one of my favorites. From beginning to end it was so full of fun + joy!

I can’t say enough about Kayla + Dillon. These two made us laugh, cry and smile continuously throughout the day. They are high school sweethearts who waited long and hard for this perfect day and it was everything they wanted and more. The gigantic party they ended the night with was just icing on the cake. The band provided endless entertainment and the crowd definitely didn’t stop dancing!!

SO many favorites from this day…limiting it for the blog was tough. I hope you enjoy as much as we did! Wishing you lifetime of friendship + joy! Congratulations, Kayla + Dillon!
