John Knickerson House Wedding, Lafayette LA: Therese + Jett

This is going to be a LONG post ya’ll!! Sorry not sorry…because my baby cousin is a MRS and I’m still smiling over this perfect of wedding days!

Therese and Jett were married on the most gorgeous day in October. This beautiful ceremony took place at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Rayne with the reception following at the John Knickerson House in Lafayette.

Therese is my cousin/little sister and to say this wedding holds a special place in my heart is an understatement. She was a bridesmaid in our wedding and I’m so thankful I could be by her side the entire day capturing the sweet gift of marriage between she and Jett. Steven and I have seen every part of their relationship develop from the day they met until now…so this day felt so very sweet to me. It was long anticipated by the whole family and we couldn’t be more thrilled for the beautiful life of marriage ahead of them!

Gosh, I love family weddings. I really could go on and on…but photographing all the people I love most in the same place was priceless. One of my favorite parts of this day was watching Therese and Jett’s parents. They both had such loving parents and watching this day unfold through their eyes made me cry over and over. When you’re young you see weddings unfold through the eyes of the married couple…but I find now that I have children I’m looking to the parents and realizing I will be in their shoes all too quickly!
