Lafayette Wedding: Lauren + Derrick

Lauren and Derrick’s beautiful Lafayette wedding still has me smiling over a month later! These two were just so ecstatic to finally be married!!! Their happiness and joy spilled over into every aspect of their special day and it was such an honor for me to be a part of it! :) Lauren is another bride that I met through the bridal expo and I feel so blessed to have made so many beautiful friends as a result of that expo! Lauren and Derrick have such a fun sense of style and definitely carried that into their wedding day! Not long into the reception Derrick walked out with special party hats for all the guests. He had special ordered some of the hats to match personalities and others were just random fun! The guests LOVED the party hats and it definitely makes their reception pictures stand out! From the beginning I knew that Lauren and Derrick would be tons of fun and they definitely did not disappoint. They both knew that they wanted to enjoy their wedding and not feel rushed so they decided to hold their ceremony 3 hours before the reception started. This meant their ceremony started at 4, ended at 4:30 and we took all the portraits before the reception started at 7pm! What a great way to eliminate the rush and stress of a wedding day! By the time their guests arrived Lauren and Derrick had refreshed, eaten a few bites and were ready to start the party! Narrowing down my favorite images to blog was almost impossible because there were so many, but I hope you enjoy these few of their crazy, joyful wedding day!

Daddy-Daughter 1st looks always get to me!! Such a special moment…but my favorite was watching Lauren’s mom observe this sweet moment holding back tears.
