I am so excited to be blogging the wedding of my good friends. It’s impossible for me to describe what an honor it is for me to photograph a wedding…and when it’s the wedding of a dear friend the experience is even more special. I have a chance to participate in the silly and sentimental moments well before the wedding starts. I’m there to see the nerves before walking down the aisle and I’m the last person to say goodbye at the end of the night. So much joy for me!
Nicole is one of my oldest friends and standing at the front of the aisle while she walked down to meet her best friend was a moment I won’t forget. I loved every moment of this day and cannot wait to see these portraits in print! I remember when Nicole and Brock had their first date and it feels surreal that she’s finally Mrs. Boudreaux! It’s not too often that a Boudreaux & Thibodeaux get married and I was so excited she made joke booklets as favors! So much fun!!! Nicole and Brock are gorgeous and could seriously be models! I was so honored that they trusted me and my vision for their pictures. They hiked across a very LARGE field through mud and water because I said it was the best spot. SOOO happy they did because these pictures are my favorite of the year.
I love these people and this special family. Nicole has 3 sisters and so do I. She is one of 7 siblings and so am I! Our families have grown up together and watching them all celebrate the joy of their last daughter to get married meant so much to me. My wedding in May will be the first in my family. It was so funny to get a glimpse into the future of what our family will look like in 10 years when (potentially) my baby sister gets married. Lots of noise, kids, fun and plenty of joy!
There are so many special memories throughout this day and I’m happy to share them! Here are the highlights <3
P.S. Nicole is an AMAZING makeup artists. She’s partnered with me for SOOO many weddings and if you don’t have a makeup artists you should definitely look her up. Instagram @ nicoleboudreauxartistry
Sisters!!! Funny story–When Kelly got married (all the way right) I had just gotten my first camera and took pictures for fun. That was my senior year of high school! So fun to be shooting a Thibodeaux wedding “for real”! These ladies are beautiful inside and out!
