Rayne Wedding: Heidi + Carl

I have been dying to share this Rayne Wedding for the last few months and I am SOOO excited today is the day!! I have been so blessed with AMAZING couples this year to photograph. People with genuine, caring personalities and meaningful weddings! Heidi & Carl definitely fit that description. From the first phone call I had with Heidi we just clicked! We have similar personalities and interests! It didn’t take long for me to discover that I had interviewed her soon-to-be priest brother-in-law on a recent retreat that I had staffed! Small world! I loved every minute of working with both Heidi & Carl. You can see their love for one another so clearly in their photographs and in real life! They were a joy to work with. I know their wedding day was everything they dreamed of because it was absolutely perfect. Their families were full of joy and so were they! Heidi cried happy tears the whole day and I have to admit so did I!! I even teared up editing the pictures, lol!! It was such a special day for an infinitely special couple. I know they will have many years of joy and happiness. I hope you enjoy the highlights of their day :)

The Petroleum Club in Lafayette took such great care of Heidi & Carl! They even set up a little room right next to the entrance for them to sit down and eat a few bites before going into their reception! Love this idea!!

This is Carl’s reaction to seeing Heidi’s bridal portrait! She decided to surprise him by having them taken at his grandparents home which holds so many childhood memories for him. I would say it was a good surprise :)

These next few pictures are what make Heidi & Carl so awesome. After their wedding reception they decided to drive to Carl’s grandparents home nearby for a few portraits. I LOVE wedding day portraits with a bride & groom. You’re dressed up and full of joy. These make the best photographs of the whole wedding experience! I adore how these portraits turned out. The light, location and couple were all perfection!
