The Grand Opera House Wedding: Kristin + Stephen

Kristin and Stephen were married last weekend at the Grand Opera House of the South in Crowley, Louisiana. Their ceremony was held across the street at St. Michael Catholic Church. We LOVE photographing weddings in this church because we were fortunate to get married here 3 years ago! Each time we photograph a wedding here it brings back so many memories for us.

Kristin and Stephen are such wonderful people and made the entire wedding process the easiest thing ever. Seeing their beautiful families come together for such a happy celebration was an honor for us. Stephen has such a big, fun personality — which is obvious by the amount of groomsmen he had surrounding him! Kristin is a kind, giving person and together they make an awesome team. Hundreds of people showed up to support and love on these two and we were so excited to capture it! I’ll never get tired of looking out over a packed church…after photographing so many weddings with empty churches, to see so many loved ones gathering together brings me so much joy!

The highlight of the day for me was definitely the amazing band at their reception! After8 created such a FUN party atmosphere and we enjoyed it so much! It rained the ENTIRE day during this wedding, but because these two had an awesome covered backup portrait location, this didn’t bother us at all! I stood in the rain with an umbrella and we photographed everything under a covered porch. Beautiful + easy!
