Washington Wedding: Erin + Daniel

I consider Washington, Louisiana one of the most historical and beautiful towns I have ever visited in the state. There’s just something about the feel of the town that’s so authentic! It was so exciting for me to be able to photograph Erin & Daniel’s wedding at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and amazing Wolff Ballroom! After months of discussing plans, taking their engagement and bridal sessions and getting to know this amazing couple they truly felt like friends. This made the wedding so special to me! I know for a fact they couldn’t have asked for a more special day, because everything was absolutely perfect. They were both cool, calm and radiant. There was soooo much JOY at this wedding you could feel it :) This couple has such a unique story  so I HAVE to share!! Erin’s mom works at a beauty salon in Opelousas with a few other ladies and Daniel would come to the salon to get his hair cut. After getting to know Daniel and realizing what an awesome guy he was, the ladies immediately started trying to set him up with Erin. Daniel didn’t like blind dates so he resisted for a VERY long time! But eventually the ladies wore him down and he agreed to go out with Erin….and the rest is history! :) They started dating about a year ago this month!! What an awesome story right?? Needless to say, her mom and the other ladies from the salon are VERY excited everything worked out so well!! :) I hope my favorite pictures from their perfect day <3

I just loved Erin’s jewelry! It was so elegant :)  This garter belonged to Erin’s grandmother!! Not only is it special that she is able to wear it, but it also doubled as her “something blue.” I love this!
Lace <3 Getting excited!! Erin ordered these robes off of Etsy  from Japan as gifts to her bridesmaids. Aren’t they cute?? Lacing up the dress is always a team effort :)  These guys were SOO cooperative we were able to shoot everything in less than 10 min. AWESOME! I have the best story about this picture. The precious flower girl started walking up the aisle…but halfway down she got scared, stopped and called out for her Grandma! Her sister stood up (as previously planned) and went meet her to finish walking her down the aisle. She was SOOO relieved to see her sister that she kissed her sister’s hand the ENTIRE way down the aisle. Best. Moment. Ever! Isn’t this church beautiful?? tears of JOY Happy now!!  The monsignor celebrating the wedding wanted Erin & Daniel to kiss each other’s rings after placing them on each other’s finger. <3 My FAVORITE!!! MARRIED!!!! love love love this church!! I was so happy Erin & Daniel decided to set apart 15 min in their busy day to take a few outdoor pictures. They are the best! :)  Gorgeous light!!
What a view!!  Such an awesome idea :) very New Orleans style! These flower arrangements were some of the prettiest I’ve seen! They were definitely a statement.  I swoon when I see chandeliers :)
Erin & Daniel decided to do their father & mother dances at the same time. Loved this idea! The grandparents! They almost out danced everyone at the reception!! Loved watching their joy.  I think it’s safe to say that Daniel had a blast… and so did Erin!!! Another Favorite!!!
Recognize those guests….?? Oh wait, that’s me!! And my awesome boyfriend who came help me :) Erin’s mom insisted we put down the camera for one dance. I just love her!! Special photo credit to my amazing sister who took this shot! Everyone knows how much I love guest sign-in books :) Erin made hers herself!! So creative :)  I love these bubbles!!
